Crafty Events This Weekend

There are a boat-load of craft markets and events taking place this Winter and GCM members will be appearing all over the country, so here’s what’s coming up this weekend. There are also our final two GCM organised markets of the year taking place – more details on those in the next post!

Craft and designers market featuring GCM member Julia Smith Ceramics.

WE MAKE LONDON
Chelsea Town Hall, London

We Make offers designers the opportunity to sell directly to buyers and offers buyers something unique and timeless in today’s fast-paced, throwaway world of mass production. Look out for GCM member Miso Funky and also Glasgow’s Hannah Zakari, who will be selling a number of members’ work.

An Xmas Extravaganza-indie market, enchanted tea-room with ‘DIY DJ’, Festive Beauty Box, Christmas Choir and maybe even Santa himself! We’re bringing the crème de la crème of West Coast and Glasgow crafting and design to this great venue for a truly special event full of old time glamour and charm and a deliciously, warm and toasty festive spirit. Catch GCM members The Rainbow Effect and Carrot Coriander here.

MAGPIE MARKET

A brand new venture aiming to showcase the best art, craft and design talent around. Magpie loves the unusual, individual and eclectic. GCM members Julia Smith Ceramics and Asking For Trouble will be in attendance.

SAY NO TO PLASTIC
Oran Mor, Glasgow
12pm to 5pm
£2.50 on the door. Children under 16 go free.

Say No To Plastic returns to the Oran Mor this Sunday for a festive afternoon of shopping, music, mini fashion shows and 25 stalls selling sparkly, quirky handmade crafts, bric a brac of every shape, size and colour and gorgeous vintage clothing. The event also supports Oxfam, Cancer Research and The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. You’ll find GCM members Ding Dong Designs, Stella My Star and t-boo here.

All weekend

TEA COSY TOO

Also, if you’re up in Aberdeen, check out Tea Cosy Too, an alternative art, craft and design fair in Aberdeen featuring friend of the mafia and lovely design shop Johnny Come Lately. It’s on all weekend from 10am-6pm at The Academy on Belmont Street.

Happy shopping!
